The Best Drugstore Beauty of 2018

 

I could spend forever looking through drugstore beauty section at Target. Who else does this? I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love going to Target especially my mom friends! Anything and everything at Target is on my radar. You can find brands like Maybelline, NYX, L’oreal to name a few. Over the last year Target has really stepped up their game by adding more clean beauty and skincare to their lineup. Totally a deal considering that most clean beauty can be pricy.

The selection of Drugstore Beauty items are all products that I have tested and continued using plus a total bargain. I also have selected certain products that are the ultimate dupes to some of my cult-favorite makeup must haves. Recommendations are always based on my personal opinions but remain authentic. Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation ($5)

This product is a such a bargain. Long lasting coverage while controlling shine and oil. Dupe for Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation ($62)

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation ($5.79)

This powerful foundation not only lasts but looks like second skin! Affordable and amazing this product is one of my top shelf favorite foundations. Dupe for MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF 15 ($27)

Bronzer

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer ($13.19)

Physician Formula Butter Bronzer totally lives up to the hype. It goes on like butter and smells like summer (personal opinion) with the coconut fragrance. For some it might be too strong but I personally don’t mind since it wears off shortly after application.

Maybelline FIT ME Shine-Free + Balance Foundation ($6.99)

Maybelline FIT ME foundation stick is hidden treasure. Great for on-the-go application but also grab a shade slightly darker for contouring and cheek definition. Blends like a dream and doesn’t look cakey. I use the shade 220 for my contour. Dupe Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation stick ($42)

Blush

Milani Baked Blush – Dolce Pink ($6.99)

Milani nailed it with this gorgeous blusher. Application is seamless and the coral shade with hints of gold inflections is perfection. Dupe NARS Orgasm Blush ($30)

NEW Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombre Blusher ($4.99)

The new Wet n Wild Ombre Blusher provides dimension and blends nicely. You can sweep the lightest shade on the apples of your cheeks for a subtle flush, you can swirl your brush on the brightest shade to give an extra bit of glam to your look or you can sweep though both shades to make your cheeks pop!

Concealer

NYX Professional Makeup Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand ($4.99)

Concealer can be tricky for most people especially if you have dry and sensitive under eyes like myself. However this particular concealer is incredibly light weight and doesn’t crease after setting with powder. I use the shade glow for my under eyes. Dupe NARS Creamy Concealer ($30)

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour ($7)

This product has sold out several times and has been hard to get my hands on until recently. Personally it didn’t live up to the hype for me. It creased and felt thick and heavy which I can’t stand in a concealer. But I am adding it to my drugstore makeup favorites because not everyone has my skin type and if you love the Tarte Shape Tape ($27) then this is the perfect dupe for you!

 

Setting Powder

NYX Professional Makeup SFX Setting Powder ($9.99)

I love this setting powder. It controls shine and oil in my t-zone which happens during the warmer months plus lasts forever. Dupe Laura Mercier Secret Setting Powder ($27)

Maybelline’s pearl pigments have a beautiful reflective finish for an effortless highlight for any skin type.

Brows and Eyeliner

NEW Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil($6.89)

The packaging literally is everything!! I have always liked the Maybelline eyebrow pencils. It lasts all day and with the new teardrop- shaped pencil you can precisely fill in your brows and create hairlike strokes.

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Skinny Eyeliner ($6.99)

Maybelline’s Master Precise Skinny Liner features a twist-up gel eye pencil. The formula is long-lasting and waterproof.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara ($9.99)

L’Oreal’s Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara creates fluttery lashes with voluptuous volume and length. I love the soft wavy bristle brush that creates dramatic lashes. Dupe Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23)

NYX Professional Makeup Plush Gel Lipstick – Nude Beach ($3.49)

The Plush Gel Lipstick by NYX totally hit the mark with the gel formula that makes your lips feel soft with a high gloss shine.  The shade is a gorgeous peachy nude that will go with any outfit!

NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream-Cannes ($4.89)

The NYX Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream lippie by NYX Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream looks amazing and feels super soft. What I love most is that your lips don’t feel sticky or tacky after applying and the color goes on like butter!

Setting Spray

NYX Professional Makeup Dewy Setting Spray  ($5.99)

Personally I always set my makeup with some sort of setting spray. When I discovered the NYX Dewy Setting Spray it became a favorite instantly. Perfect for creating a dewy natural makeup look this particular spray set’s your makeup to last all day long.

NYX Matte Setting Spray is also my favorite especially for keeping the T-Zone shine-free. This spray set’s your makeup to last all day.
