Top Five Foundations for 2018 – – Flawless Skin

Happy April! Whew!! ‘Spring Break 2018’ has come and gone in the blink of an eye – – despite our entire household having laryngitis we had a blast. This year was low key since we spent 2 weeks in Maui last year – – but we had lots of playdates + had fun with our neighbors playing sharks + minnows {they even let me join in!} I absolutely love spring – the anticipation of summer spending time by the pool + spending time with family + friends. With all that goodness approaching I wanted to give y’all my Top Five Foundations that are super light weight offering light to medium coverage providing you with that perfect summer GLOW! Y’all know how hot it can get down here in the Carolina’s not to mention the humidity – – both are the perfect storm for oily not so cute make up. Below I have put some SPLURGES + some SAVES  with my 2 cents about each. Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know what you LOVE, what you already have and what you NEED!

Tip// Always lightly set your T-Zone + under eyes with a translucent setting powder when it’s hot out. My dry skin will get oily throughout the day and the setting powder makes all the difference!!

Top Five Foundations

Giorgio Armani Beauty – Luminous Silk Foundation  If you order ANYTHING from this list, let it be this foundation. I swear by it. I love mixing it with a small amount of Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – – this is truly a magical combination! It’s super light weight + silky but most importantly it doesn’t settle in my pores + fine lines. It is definitely a splurge but will last you 6-9 months (1-2 drops is the perfect combo with a pea size drop of Estee Lauder Double Wear). My recommendation is to apply with a DAMP beauty blender {squeeze under sink water + wring out} Total Perfection!! {My Shade is 4.0}

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation This foundation gives the BEST natural finish that I have ever tried. It is a “16-hour foundation that is lightweight, natural, fade-resistant and powered by radiance to smooth the look of skin.” Bonus// it is formulated with raspberry, apple and watermelon extracts to smooth and improve the look of your skin over time. Yasss!!! {My shade is Fiji}

EX1 Cosmetics Liquid Foundation This is a super lightweight and luminous liquid foundation.  Super blendable formula and 100% oil and fragrance free! Did I mention it is only $20?! {My Shade is 3.0}

La Mer – The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation SPF 20  This foundation gives you the perfect finish and personally I wish that I didn’t love it so much given the huge price tag!! This is definitely a SPLURGE. Such a beautiful foundation giving you a luminous healthy finish. I would say this is a light to medium coverage foundation but I like to mix with my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation since I have sun spots as I have gotten older I need a little extra coverage in certain areas! {My shade is Natural}

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation  Maybelline formulated this foundation with ‘Shade-true gel’ that merges with your natural tone creating the perfect shade for your skin tone!!! Totally awesome! They make this foundation in either Dewy+Smooth or Matte + Poreless whichever you choose they both are my favorite drugstore foundation! {My Shade is Natural Beige}
